昔とあるバラエティー番組内のコーナーで
「音痴ばかりを集めた合唱団を集めたらやっぱりヘタに聴こえるのか」
という御題目で大勢の音痴を集めて
実際に合唱やらせたってのがあってな

結果は思いのほかまともに聴こえたというもの
科学的にも検証したところ、無意識に沢山聞こえる声の中から
一番マシなものを拾い取ってそれを歌の質として認識するから、
音痴だらけの中から最もマシな声出してる奴の声が
常にリアルタイムで選ばれてそれなりにマシに聴こえるというものだった

AKBもだいたい似たような原理だと思う
